Hi

Does anyone know the process or requirements (academic/legal) for working as a Romanian translator in England please?

My friend, she is fluent in both languages, yet has worked in England for 10 years in an ‘un-skilled’ profession. She is actually very gifted with languages and wishes to further herself but does not have any British qualifications.

I suggested maybe working as a Police/Hospital translator, but I have no idea how to help her any further, and if it’s actually quite difficult to (literally) ‘walk into’ a job like this.

Hi.. I am an Indian citizen currently living in sweden. I have a visa to uk as well. The lamination page in my old passport has got damaged but the uk visa is very clear and visible. And I have applied for a new passport and I have a new passport now.
My question is that, can i now travel to uk on my old passport without any problem?

we live in NZ and i hold a dependent spouse visa. Now i want to travel to the UK. Is it possible that i can travel to UK alone on a dependent spouse visa and my wife can join me later after couple of months.
