Can I travel to UK on a Dependent Spouse Visa when my British Citizen spouse is neither traveling with me?

we live in NZ and i hold a dependent spouse visa. Now i want to travel to the UK. Is it possible that i can travel to UK alone on a dependent spouse visa and my wife can join me later after couple of months.
