As for airports...Oooh why am i not so convinced ...oh yea it's because they ask you for your id about twenty times in heathrow when you are entering dublin thats why. Since the dawn of time, there has never been a requirement to produce photo identification when travelling between the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The airlines don't even seek photo I.D. between the two countries. The ferry to Ireland does not require any form of identification - fact. Is your boyfriend aware of the regulations of his country?
